I’ve been recently addicted to watching chick flicks and I’m not afraid to admit that I’m watching the old same classics over and over again. Yes, I’m a big fan of these movies that I’m going to be listing with you today so if you haven’t watched these chick flicks on Netflix or Amazon Prime, then what are you doing? Go watch them right after you read this post!
Just a caution note here, a majority of you guys, my readers, are female but I know that there are plenty of you guys (yes, I didn’t forget about the boys) are male so it doesn’t really matter whether you hate or love chick flicks or not.
Note:
- There may be little spoilers or no spoilers at all. I’ll try to keep it spoiler-free as possible. Depending on what you watch will be your own concern. If you like it, you like it. If you don’t, you don’t. It’s all on your personal opinion and I’m not forcing you to watch these movies. These are just my recommendation.
- Update July 2020: Some films are removed on Netflix (or I can’t find an available link to it) so I’ll be adding an alternative link with Amazon Prime.
Ok anyways, to the point, I’m going to list my top 10 list (not in order from best to worst) of chick flick on Netflix or Prime that you need to rewatch!
So grab your mug of coffee or tea and let’s get right into it!

I would also like to note that you can find these movies on pretty much any online streaming (not just Netflix and Amazon) services like Hulu, HBO, Stan, Apple TV, etc.
Mean Girls (2004)
Casts: Tina Fey, Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, Rachel McAdams & Lacey Chabert.
Put your high heels on because girl, there’s gonna be a lot of high school dramas, gossips, revenge, and friendship backstabs.
The movie features Cady Heron, a girl who has homeschooled her entire life. Until she gets into public high school, she joins the popular girl group “The Plastics”. That’s went drama erupts.
This is one of my all-time favourite movies I’m not going to lie. I probably watched this million of time.
Oh yeah, don’t forget that this movie is literally ICONIC! You GO, Glen Coco!

Legally Blonde (2001)
Casts: Reese Witherspoon, Luke Wilson & Jennifer Coolidge.
I know this is stereotypical but seriously! Not all blondes are dumb and this movie proves it.
Like, even I can’t get into Harvard and really, I’d die to have best friends like Elle Woods!
If you love everything pink mixed with lawyer stuff, then go ahead!

Bride Wars (2009)
Casts: Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Bryan Greenberg & Chris Pratt.
Don’t think I mind having a double wedding with my best friend as long as I don’t get stomped or bashed on for securing the same date!
If you’re a big fan of weddings and revenge, then I highly recommend this movie.

Clueless (1995)
Casts: Alicia Silverstone, Brittany Murphy, Stacey Dash & Paul Rudd.
I don’t think I can stop watching this classic movie! Shows the definition of old school dating, friendships, first time driving and romance.
And can we talk about iconic fashion and old mobile phones? OMG.
Watch Here on Netflix!

The Devil Wears Prada (2006)
Casts: Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep & Emily Blunt.
From journalist to a personal assistant of a famous fashion magazine editor, I would be dead on the spot trying to multitask and follow all the boss’s demands.
But in the end, who wouldn’t be caught dead by Miranda Priestly?
If you love anything fashion, relationships and brutal callings from the boss, then give this movie a shot.

Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)
Casts: Isla Fisher & Hugh Dancy.
I’m always up for shopping sprees but then again, the only problem is that I don’t have lots of money #girlproblems.
Rebecca Bloomwood demonstrates our girl and guy problems when it comes to our credit card cancellation.
Is it worth it for a sweet guy? Definitely! Comedy and romance at its finest.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)
Casts: Audrey Hepburn & George Peppard.
Seriously, if you haven’t watched this classic Hollywood romance film, then I don’t know what you’re doing with your life!
I know Holly might be a little bit “frenzy” but she’s always up to an adventure and with that brings in great comedy.
In case you were wondering, her outfit is literally something that you would never forget!

Julie & Julia (2009)
Casts: Meryl Streep, Amy Adams & Stanley Tucci.
We love a food blogger involved in a film! This is one of my all-time favourites to watch filled with comedy, drama and a little bit of romance.
Demonstrating the two different lives of Julie & Julia, the main intention here is whether you are young or old, you are never old enough to dream or cook.
Update Sep 2020: Will be make a post on this movie soon. If you’re interested, why don’t you stay in check and join my newsletter to get informed?

La La Land (2017)
Casts: Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling & John Legends.
I wasn’t really a big fan when it comes to musical films but after watching this with my best friend, I must admit, I was in LOVE with this movie and so was he.
I couldn’t even stop singing “Another Day of Sun” and “City of Stars” for a week!
Oh, what music and love can do when bringing two music lovers together to succeed in their dreams.
Watch Here on Netflix!

The Princess Diaries (2001)
Casts: Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews & Heather Matarazzo.
I was only a young girl when this film got realised and by then, I was literally obsessed with this movie along with TPD 2.
This is an awesome movie when it comes to living a normal “unseen” high school life to turning to royalty and being noticed.
As they said, anything can happen and dreams do come true.

Conclusion
So these are the chick flick movies I recommend you watch.

Hola! I’ve been reading your web site for some time now and finally got the courage to go ahead and give you a shout out from Austin Texas! Just wanted to mention keep up the fantastic work!
All done except Julie & Julia. But watching them the nth time around won’t be a bad idea after all. Great chick flick list!
Great list you got here. I have seen quite a no of them. I am not surprised they made your list.
I haven’t been watching movies a lot lately cuz I prefer to watch shows. If I do ever find a good chick flick that isn’t popular but yet underrated, I’ll definitely add it to this list!
Nice list…. I watched most on the list…… They’re fun…..
Haha! I’m really leaning towards making a list of action/adventure movies for the guys in the future cuz I’m enjoying more of that genre.
I am a movie person and have watched most of these, great movies!
Me too! Even though I watch most shows in my free times, I definitely should go watch newer chick flicks so I can add them to the list.
Love this! Breakfast at Tiffany’s is my all time favorite! This post makes me want to have a movie marathon girls night!
