Self care is an important part of us, if we don’t practice self care then we will be overstressed and when one is overstressed one tends to get angry easily. That is why I have put together this self-care bucket list so that you can do or add to your already existing list.
Self care is what you do to improve your health both physically and emotionally. It is something that you do to make you happy and you don’t really need to do anything that is super expensive for example watching funny YouTube videos or just take a bath.
Self care is something that does not have to be a chore (some people see it like that) and I want you guys to know that you can practice self care until it comes naturally to you.
Self Care Bucket List
Table of Contents
Restorative Yoga
Yoga can be super helpful especially when you are super stressed out. It can help calm you down and relieve you when you’re stressed out. I can’t talk enough about how this technique has helped me in my day to day life.
Yoga helps in relaxing your body and with restorative yoga, you are stimulating your muscles, joints, and nervous system. It also slows down your heart rate and regulates your blood pressure.
Step up Your Bath Game
Another tip on the self care bucket list is to take a relaxing bath and it is nothing new to the self care world.
You can start by putting in a bath bomb, lighting up some candles and having some smooth music in the background or even have a glass of wine in your hand. It is like you have your own little heaven and by the time you are down you are all relaxed.
What if I told you that you can add a little spice to your bath game and kick it up a notch by adding 2 cups of Epsom salt which will help in relaxing your joints and muscles.
Make your Favourite Cocktail
What is self care without a little drinking? It is even more fun when you figure out what your favourite drink is so that you can learn how to make it.
Whether if it is coffee or a margarita, this can be a relieving act that can help boost your self-confidence and make yourself super proud of it.
Write in Your Gratitude Journal on a Regular Basis
Another tip on the self care bucket list is to write in your gratitude journal on a regular basis. Keeping this journal can be super helpful for your mental health and you get to share what it is that you are grateful for.
Writing out what you are grateful of every day can help you reflect on the good things in your life. This way you get to see the good in your life every day which in turn makes you happier.

Try & Download a Meditate App
Meditating can be really helpful so if you haven’t started this mindfulness technique, then you need to get on the wagon right now and add it to your self care bucket list.
Just to acknowledge this, meditation can be hard because you have to empty your mind and focus on only one thought which can be challenging sometimes. I mean we have one billion thoughts going through our mind and focusing on one is going to be tough but not impossible.
This is where a guided-meditation app comes in (it will help a lot until you’re able to be mindful yourself). There is an app that I use it is called Calm and I can tell you that it has helped a lot when I am having a hard time sleeping or if I just want to clear my head. You can try it out and see if it will work for you.
Go on a Date With Yourself
You know we go on dates with other people but not ourselves. Well for this instance we need to take ourselves on a date once in a while.
You can try going to the movies or even dress up, go to some fancy restaurant by yourself and have a good time. I mean, having a fun time is what self care is all about!
Find/Listen to Inspiring Podcast
There is a lot of podcasts out there. There are even ones that can inspire you in every aspect of your life. All you need to do is find and listen to them through a site like Spotify.
Try Using Essential Oils
If you haven’t added essential oil to your self care routine then you need to add it right this instant! You can use an oil/aroma diffuser for this. If you don’t know what an oil diffuser is, it is a device that is used to disperse essential oils.
Get Enough Sleep
One of the most important things on this self care bucket list is to get a good sleep. If you don’t get enough sleep you will get moody and angry easily and we don’t want that.
All you have to is set the time that you need to sleep every day (including weekends) and this will help balance your sleep routine.
Go on a Walk Daily
Lastly, try going on a walk around your neighbourhood. This can be very calming and it will help clear your mind and let you focus more on what is more important.
Conclusion
That is all the things I have on self care bucket list, I hope this article helps you.
