You’re probably thinking “It’s impossible to keep your new year’s resolution” or you make a goal and forget it after 3 weeks. But that’s gonna change for you because I’ve succeeded nearly all my goals throughout 2018 with these goalkeeping strategies.
It’s time for you to make this year your new era. It’s tough and I know because I use to make goals and gave up on them (like not finishing a drawing for example). I want to let you know that it’s OK if you throw out one of your goals. It’s not good to keep a goal when you feel like it won’t benefit you or your future.

Planners for you and for you!
You’re more organised because you know which date is due, what events are coming up and how you can fit in your goals on days when you’re free.
Personally, I feel like the reason why people don’t organise well is that they don’t have a planner with them. Either their life schedule is too full so they can’t organise their dates or just lazy to put the dates in.
Preferably, it’s best to grab a planner that suits your personality. That way, you’re more motivated to grab your planner daily and check your timetable.

Make a vision board
If you haven’t heard of a vision board before, it’s a board (well duh) filled with things that inspire and motivate you. What I mean by “things” are photographs, images from Pinterest/Tumblr/Instagram, objects or items from your travels, goals and personal belongings. Collab them all together on the board.
Literally, just look up “vision boards” and you can find loads of them. The best part is, you can take inspiration from other people’s vision boards and try to brand them however you like.
I created a vision board for 2019 filled with images from Pinterest that inspire me and motivate my goals. The board is stuck to where my desk area is because that’s where I go to every day.
My tip is to hang your vision board to where you can see it every day or the place where you hang out most of the time. That way, the moment you go to the area, you can look at your board and find out what you need to do in order to chase your dreams.

One thing I like to do is to add tasks to my everyday to-do checklist.
I use Wunderlist to categorise them in the days of the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc) and add a list of task to do for each day including events or appointments.
One of my focus goals is to make blogging my full-time. So each day I will add a task that will help reach my blogging goals (like write a newsletter every Friday, focus on sharing my content over Pinterest or creating posts twice a week).
But here’s the secret to how I achieve my goals.
You’re seeing this right? I use Wunderlist to create a Goal category where I keep daily goals. Every Sunday, I write down the sub goals on what I achieved from that week and write it in my plain journal.
You’re probably thinking “but how will that help me achieve my goals?” Now let me tell you. Input down goals that you achieved that week. In the next week or so, you can do the sub-goals that you didn’t get to do last week. And if you forgot what you achieved in the last week, then you can check back on your goal journal. It may be confusing but this definitely helps me keep track and what I need to do to achieve it.

Track your goals
Many reasons why people lose their goal and never succeed it is because they probably tend to forget it! That’s why it’s important to track them so that you’re reminded where you want to head.
I like to track mine by either writing it in my planner or writing it in my daily journal. Try to add your goals to where you can see it every day.
If you’re using a monthly or life planner, you can track each goal by writing them down in the monthly section and then ticking them off once you successfully completed the task/goal.
Journaling or bullet journaling
I’m not really good at bullet journaling but I do however have a journal with me.
My goal for 2019 is to start a bullet journal. Hence why I decided the other day to buy two plain notebooks. I know I’m late and it’s already Feb but seriously, it’s never too late to start one!
You can decide what you want to do with it. Decorate however you like and even keep it messy like an art sketchbook. The purpose of a good journaling book is to intend to motivate you to achieve your goals.

I know I’ve said “motivate” and “achieve” a lot in this post but I want to let you know that the key way to succeeding your goals is from your motivation.
