We all have different things going among us that we have to do such as chasing your dreams so you can be happy in what you’re doing, working because you’re an adult, studying because you’re a student, washing dishes so you can reuse them again etc.
But have you ever thought about the 5 questions?
Take a moment to stop what you’re doing and reflect these questions about where your pathway is taking you.
So grab your mug of coffee or tea and let’s get right into it!

Secret word… Why?
We wonder to ourselves “WHY?” Like, why are we doing this? Or why do we do this?
Pretty much, people will answer back with “we do this because it’s part of human society that we do it.” And not many people are asking themselves what they’re doing or why they’re doing this thing that they do.
So I’m going to list 5 questions that you should ask yourself daily.
- WHY AM I DOING THIS?
- WHAT ARE THE PRIORITIES OF DOING THIS?
- SHOULD I RECONSIDER OR CHANGE MY LIFESTYLE?
- AM I HAPPY?
- IS THIS SOMETHING I WANT TO DO IN MY ENTIRE LIFE?
1. WHY AM I DOING THIS?
Why do you feel like you have to do this? This will give you an idea of the reasons for doing what you do in your life.
For example, “Why am I working at this job? I’m working on this job so I can earn money and pay the bills or give myself a reward for a dream car.”
2. WHAT ARE THE PURPOSE OF DOING THIS?
Why should you be doing this? What if I don’t do it? What is the consequence of not doing it?
Example, “If I don’t work, then I’ll be in debt, I won’t be able to support my family, I’ll have to ask my parents for an allowance/loan and that will lower my pride or I’ll be homeless”.
3. SHOULD I RECONSIDER OR CHANGE MY LIFESTYLE?
If you feel like doing this thing will not offer you anything, interrupting your health or has not changed, should you reconsider or change something?
Example, “This job takes up my family time, the pay is less, I’m getting lack of sleep and sitting at a desk too long is risking my health. I should either find a different job that suits my time, pays good or a job where I can get up and move”.
4. AM I HAPPY?
Is the thing you’re doing making you happy and joyful about? Do you feel that every time you do that thing, you feel a sense of happiness within you?
Example, “The job I’m working is making me happy with the nice and kind employees to working hard to getting this dream job that I have at the moment”.
5. IS THIS SOMETHING I WANT TO DO IN MY ENTIRE LIFE?
Do you feel passionate or energetic about doing that thing? Do you feel high on energy whenever you do it? Or do you feel a lack of energy or grown whenever you do that thing?
Example, “I feel passionate or energetic at the work I am at. But if I don’t feel the same way in the next few months, I will have to reconsider my choices and move to something else or giving it up for something more different”.
What you should do now
Now that you learned the 5 questions, ask yourself and answer these. It doesn’t have to be in order! And if you need more answers, read the posts that I left as “related posts”.
