If you're looking for blogging resources to help you improve your blog traffic and you're either a professional or a beginner blogging, then you're definitely at the right post.

I've been blogging for about a year now so I've kind of gain some knowledge on what blogging resources to use and what not to use. I definitely tried out blogging tools that were either popular or suggested by someone else and some of them weren't helpful for me due to what I needed most for my site or just something else that was better.

I will NOT be adding in WP (WordPress) Plugins. If you want to check that out, click here to read the post.

Note: they're all freemium. Meaning their free but also have upgrades for premium (more add-ons).

So grab your mug of coffee or tea and let's get right into it!

List of Blogging Tools...

1. Tailwind

Let's start off the list with one of my favourite blogging tools. Tailwind is an automating scheduling and analytic tool for Pinterest and Instagram users. It posts your scheduled post based on how you manage and monitor when or where you want your post to be released to the public as well as suggest the best time to post based on your audience's interaction and so the rest goes on and automates it for you.

For example, I have just released a new blog post and want to schedule it for, let's say, twice a week on my boards on Pinterest. So, I add my pin to schedule it now for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc twice on the times I've picked.

Why should this program help you?

Practically it's a total lifesaver for those who don't have time to manually pin for example, if you're a mum or dad who has a full-time job and a child to look after, a student who has school or entrepreneur who has too much on their plate all ready to pin. Definitely, a lifesaver for me because I am a full-time student and I need to focus on my grades and study so I don't really have much time to manually pin.

Try it now, you can try out a free trial of pinning 100 pins on Pinterest or 30 posts on Instagram for FREE (no time limit like those "30-day trials" and no payment details needed). If you feel like this works for you, buy the Plus version for $9.99 /monthly.

To make it easier, install the Chrome extension so you'll be able to schedule the image that links to that URL anywhere and anytime.

2. MailChimp

MailChimp is an email and marketing provider for businesses. This blogging tool helps you send emails to your email list, set up your stores and advertise your brand.

Popular among bloggers and entrepreneurs who like to send their email listing to subscribers by promoting their product or courses, engaging with their readers and giving their subs an update on their life.

Why should this program help you?

Basically, if you're a beginner who wants to set up an email listing, this is the right program to use. You can start up for free, sign up, customise your email and keep a list of your email subscribers.

This way, emailing your readers can easily communicate with you equalling to trust and more often read, buy your products or just sharing your latest post through their emails can keep them up to date. I use MailChimp for RSS so that my subscribers can keep up to date with what I post.

3. KWFinder

KWFinder is a keyword research tool (as well as an analysis tool) that can help you search for long-tail keywords and their SEO. This tool is heaven because it helps you find keywords based on how much people look up as well as the ranking & difficulties (if it's competitive among the search engine market) for your blog post.

There are so many different keywords that can help you use in relation to the keyword you're already using. I highly suggest using long-tail keywords as the search competition is easier for your blog to climb to Google ranking.

Why should this program help you?

I think for people are who new or still don't get SEO, this is a great blogging tool to boost your search engine results. It's easy to look for long-tail keywords based on your particular article and niche as well as find new keywords that could use to boost your post's search engine rankings.

You can use only look up 5 FREE searches daily (it will restart the next day) so pretty much-unlimited use or upgrade to Mangools Basic $29.90 /monthly.

4. BoardBooster

Update Note: BoardBooster is closed down. An alternative is Tailwind.

Same with Tailwind, Boardbooster also is an automating scheduling tool for Pinterest. However, it is used in a different way than Tailwind. With Boardbooster, they will duplicate board/s that you want to schedule pin your pins and make them into "secret boards". This way, when you pin your Pinterest graphics into the "secret board", it will automatically schedule the pins in that board to what you have scheduled.

If it sounds complicated to use, I do recommend Tailwind but if you want more control over how you schedule, then I suggest Boardbooster or you can use both!

Why should this program help you?

If you don't have the time to manually pin, then this tool should help you automate your pins for you. This tool will help you gain followers, re-pins, and views.

Yes, I love using Boardbooster because I like to get control over how my pins automate as well as boost my followings and repins at the same time.

Pinup to 500 pins for FREE or upgrade it to $5 /monthly.

5. PicMonkey

PicMonkey is a photo editing and design tool where you can edit your photos, create pretty images like Facebook covers, Twitter headings, Instagram posts or logos and so much more. You can also create collages and filter your photos (like I do) as well as add text.

If you're an entrepreneur, blogger or advertiser, you can also create Pinterest graphics on here. Before finding Canva, I used PicMonkey to create different banners and edit profile pictures of Facebook because I wanted to use a tool in order to do that and make my profile stand out (I was literally 12-13 then).

I mean, we live in a world where everything is visual. We know how people are when they check out our blogs. It's no secret that we need a little visual in our blog posts to make it burst full of colours because if it's just plain and boring, people would instantly leave our site unless you have good information. Our writing is our first priority but so is the visuals. Don't forget the beautiful pins to make our audience re-pin or click on it.

It's FREE to use but there are limited edits that can be unlocked if you either try out the 7-day free trial to unlock all for 7 days or buy the premium version for $8.99 /monthly or higher version.

6. Google Adwords

Like KWFinder, Google Adwords helps you find keywords for SEO based on ratings, keyword ratings, difficulties and more for marketing business and entrepreneurs. I find that people use this more than any other keyword finder tools because it's FREE and it is run by Google.

I personally use this more than any other keyword tools since you get to have unlimited searches as well as search multiple keywords at the same time.

Why should this program help you?

You can find keywords based on your niche or related type keywords. As I said, it's FREE to use. Just sign up to your Google account that is connected to your site.

7. Grammarly

Grammarly is a tool to help you check for grammar, punctuation and spelling mistakes while writing on the go. It proofreads and underlines using red on what you need to fix. They will suggest you a correct answer and you put your cursor to that red underline.

You don't have to use this tool for only just your blog, you can use it anywhere else such as freelancing writing work, essays etc. I use this pretty much on everything that includes me writing a whole essay (like this blog post right here) and thank god I got this tool because I'm actually getting good marks on my essays (hey! It's not cheating!)

Why should this program help you?

If you're not really good at English (like me) or you need help when proofreading a blog draft or any other type of document, then get this tool if you haven't.

It's FREE, just create an account, install the extension on Chrome (I'm not sure about Firefox or any other browsers) and then you're ready.

8. Canva

Lastly, on the list of tools, Canva is pretty much what I explained in PicMonkey. This design and editing tool helps you build presentations, social media images, business cards, logos and more.

It has a feature where you can drag and drop as well as share it with your Canva group. There are so many different templates to choose from, free or paid. They also have an installation of beautiful typography text, backgrounds, icons, shapes, and frames. Don't forget, it's not that complicated to use.

Try it for yourself with the help of my posts:

Why should this program help you?

This is one of the tools I used most for blogging, logos or school presentations and PDFs. I know that this program is one of my most recommended programs since you don't have to be a professional graphic designer to create designs. It's very easy to create different presentations and images on this site like Pinterest graphics and many more. Or just use the already created templates by the amazing designers at Canva, edit and import your words and you got yourself a masterpiece.

It's FREE or upgrades to Canva for Work version (if you got a team) to unlock the additional for $12.95 /monthly.
