Let me tell you the truth. You might think that you have all the time in the world but in reality, time is limited and every single day you waste, you’re missing out on what more you could do.

If you feel sad, unproductive or having a bad day, here is a list of “Life Is Too Short” sayings to lift up your day and feel motivated.

Lie in bed all day

We all have those days where were would just lie in bed the whole day and just don’t feel like doing anything. Sorry, but you could be working on something to help you in the future rather than procrastinate and sleep all day. Save that for a day where you feel sick.

 

Procrastinate

Procrastination is a problem for everyone. We procrastinate because we think the work is overwhelming which causes you to just make excuses to do other stuff. But also, it makes you feel anxiety and stress.

People are different and depending on what type of person you are, you can instantly “just do it” or you need something that motivates you to go do it. Below are my other posts on how you can be productive.

I’ve experienced this many times in my life. From saving my job applying for later and applying for university courses till the end of my exams. To exercising and the list could go on forever. Even fixing these old blog posts!

And like procrastination, I think to myself “Nah, I can do these later.” But whenever I say this, I’m actually ruining my future self. I could have applied and I would have got a job by now. I could be done with fixing old blog posts and my traffic will grow.

All these excuses of waiting would ruin your future more. So keep that in mind.

Be Normal

I know schools don’t teach you these things until you actually grow up. It’s ok to be different. Do what makes you feel good. Your life is your life and you choose what you want to do.

I learned to focus on not caring about what others think. Sometimes a little comparison is good but a lot is really bad for your self-esteem.

Sook over your Fails

We live in a world where we ask ourselves “what’s the purpose of life?”. That’s why goals are made for you to know which direction you’re taking.

Sometimes, we lose motivation and not complete our goals for the year. Sometimes we fail something and end up collapsing over it. That’s why I say that you shouldn’t soak in all your failures. Acknowledge it and fix the mistakes or try a different route.

Be a kid

When was the last time you had fun? Sometimes, people grow up during their childhood and never had the time to be a kid. That’s why you should have time for once in your adulthood and take a break from all the grown-up stuff.

And don’t be ashame when people judge you in public. They’re probably missing out on the fun.

I think everyone should travel once or twice in their lifetime. And be able to explore a different culture as well as go out of their comfort zone. The most important is making fun happy (and bad) memories from going overseas.

If you’re the type of person who keeps thinking and worrying about the past and future, then you really need to let that all go. The moment/present is the important thing you should be thinking about.

 

Keep toxic people

I had so many toxic people in my life. But I’m thankful for letting them go. There are times where you’re going to make excuses like “they’re my only friends” (like I did). But would you rather keep negative people in your life just because you don’t have friends? No.

So let them go. Find real people who appreciate you for you.

We don’t know when something happens to them to tell you the truth. So it’s best to spend time with them in the current moment before you lose and regret it.

Never do the things you love

If you want to do something you’re passionate about, just do it. Don’t let anyone stop you from doing what you want to do.
